Leather Top & Balloon Skirt

Jonathan Anderson offered up not one but two patterns, for a leather top and balloon skirt from his acclaimed A/W 13 collection, for viewers to download for free. The asymmetric pieces, which featured in Anderson’s first advertising campaign, encapsulate his experimental attitude towards shape and texture.
The garments give the wearer the ability to toy with their silhouette. The ‘ribbon’ that loops through the hole of the skirt can be tied together as the wearer pleases, depending on how much of a balloon effect the individual would like to create.
Pattern Specifications
Size: UK size 6
Recommended fabrics: leather, thick duffle wool, and other fray-resistant fabrics
Tools and notions: 20cm (8″) invisible zipper, hook and eye, seam binding or bondaweb. A rotary cutter is recommended for cutting the unfinished edges.
