‘The Macaw’ Dress

Description
Selected from Antony Price’s S/S 89 collection and dubbed The Macaw by its creator, exemplary of the glamorous, body-conscious style Price consistently championed, this pattern is a true work of fashion art.
Boned, ruched and adorned with shard-like taffeta feathers, this is the first time Price’s showpiece became available to the public at large.
Pattern Specifications
Fabric requirements: taffeta (with additional shade for contrast); lining; Stayflex fusible cotton interfacing
Notions: plastic boning, zipper
Notes/caveats: The pattern has 20 pieces, in 15 PDFs. Because the sheet dimensions are irregular, copy shop printing is recommended.
‘Feathers’ and main ruched piece are cut on the bias. The designer recommends binding boning into ‘quills’ for best results.
